Week 4 Almost there

Greetings, well we are almost there, just crossing the mid-point.  I am excited to learn about forms this week as I am hoping to incorporate form(s) into my course project.  Some of the benefits of including forms are: ease of use for the user, organization of data and save time for user.

In addition to form, I also included the slider we completed late week as part of my project page.  This is another great feature to be able to organized a photo gallery.

Below is an image of my course project.

So this week I am working on integrating animated components within an HTML page without using javascript and display and hiding images based on positioning. So I am also playing around with  :target pseudo selector to style based on the current href hash tag.  The challenging part was calculating the keyframe points for the animation.  To help I used the online tool at http://cssanimate.com/

It's Week 3 of our journey, boy how time is flying we will be approaching week 8 before you know it!

This week course project is all about the proposal and design of our individual websites.  I started the design of my home page; however this needs quite a bit of work.  As Prof indicated, first impressions is everything, so I would like to further develop it to be visually stimulating while taking a minimal approach to avoid over designing.

Week 2 - The Map

Hello All,
Welcome to week 2 of our journey.
I started my lab assigned for this week and begin creating my Visio of the site map.  So far the assignment is fairly easy maybe a little too easy.  I will continue working on the site map and include links and ISO naming conventions. Below is my sample site diagram, at the moment each page is named base on the page title, but this will be changed shortly. Throughout the week, I will continue work on building content for each individual page.

Let's Begin

Hello Fellow Classmates,

My name is Tara Pearyer. I am completing my bachelor’s degree in Technical Management at DeVry. I have two adult children, a son Jaquan 26 and a daughter Korea 24. I enjoy most competitive sports and minor home improvement projects. This is my last class, so I will finish my degree program in 8 weeks. Looking forward reading and enjoying each individual blog post.
As a side note, since I am using my husband gmail account for the Blog, the profile indicate Berkley L. Pearyer, but it is actually me. I will post my picture shortly.

This week I am a very much behind on post as I was traveling for business. I was participating in a leadership program which required minimal use of computers and online activity.  In any case I wanted to take some time to introduce myself and blog.

Wishing everyone great success.
Tara
